Avila's Ranchito *delivered* for our Homeowners Association (HOA) picnic like no other! We ordered two of their legendary party platters for our community event, and let me tell you, the neighborhood buzz is still alive--people are talking more about the food than the actual HOA meeting. And that's saying something, because we all know how passionate folks can get about mailbox colors and lawn heights. Each platter came fully loaded: *10 Chicken Chingolinga Bites* that vanished faster than gossip at the HOA meeting, *10 Small Beef Tacos* that had people going back for seconds, thirds... probably fourths if we're being honest, *10 Beef Flautas* that were crispy perfection, and *10 Bean & Cheese Burritos* that had us questioning why we ever settle for anything less. And the sides? A whole *pint of salsa*, *pint of guacamole*, and a *small bag of chips* that practically became the life of the party. People were dunking chips like it was a competitive sport. We laid out the spread, and it was like a culinary magnet--everyone was drawn in, and let's just say, we have officially set the bar way too high for future HOA events. The food disappeared faster than someone trying to avoid HOA dues, and the compliments kept rolling in. "Who catered this?" "Is there more guac?" "Can we do this EVERY year?"--all legit comments from the crowd. If you want to be the hero of your next community event, Avila's Ranchito has you covered. Their party platters are guaranteed to bring peace, joy, and maybe even solve that neighborly dispute over the fence line. Five stars, highly recommend, and we'll definitely be back for more!

I give this place 6 stars for Salvador and Yolanda's amazing service!! They even treated our table who was visiting from out of town a free fried ice cream dessert! Added bonus: the salsa was the perfect amount of spicy. Great family outing and overall experience. We'd come back just to see Salvador and Yolanda!!

Amazing Mexican food and chips and salsa. Let me tell u the service was amazing and very attentive. Kerry welcomed us and treated us like we have been regulars for 20 yrs. It was our first time but it won't be our last. Thank you for making us feel at home. For 230 on a Saturday it had quite a few people in there which was a good sign for a new adventure. Btw they have large assortment of margaritas including watermelon and a caramelized orange. For dessert we had fried ice cream that was a super end to our meal. Thank you. Leslie

It's a celebration again but not for a birthday. This time, we had our lunch at Avilas El Ranchito in Costa Mesa after the lovely missus passed her driver's license renewal testing at the DMV nearby. We were greeted with a great smile from the hostess, and she pointed to a table inside. Colorful decor hangs from the ceiling. We got the chips and salsa, and although a fruity margarita was very inviting, we opted for the ice-cold water. The red crunchy chips were great. The missus has her Chili Relleno plate with the whole beans ( not refried), and I was craving a taco and some soup. The chicken soup and a hard shell chicken taco were my choice, and it was delicious. Her name was Beatriz, and she made sure that we had an enjoyable lunch at the Avilas El Ranchito. Thanks, and I know we will be back.

Avila's El Ranchito? More like Avila's El Favorite-ito! This has easily become my favorite Mexican restaurant. From the moment we entered, Salvador showered us with a warm welcome, setting the tone for a dining experience that was nothing short of stellar. The interior is cute and cozy. Our server guided us through the menu. There is a section of healthier options, which is nice! They offer complimentary chips. The freshness of the chips and salsa was unparalleled - warm, crispy, and utterly irresistible. The staff was so attentive that a fresh batch magically appeared as we barely picked up the second to last chip from our first basket. We ordered the Avila soup, the Azteca burrito, and a combo plate with a beef enchilada and chicken tamale. Each bite was like a party in our mouths, making it impossible to pick a favorite. We definitely will be back! Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Value: 5/5
